Objectives
Are there any rules for writing effective e-mails? Though electronic messaging may be less formal than the official exchange of letters, a number of rules need to be observed. The standard expressions for writing e-mails and/or fax messages are handled in a few short sessions.

The following aspects are included:

  • starting and concluding e-mails
  • the ABC of an effective e-mail
  • structure and style of writing
  • corporate/house style
  • sentence structure and a few fundamental spelling rules

These various abilities are studied using your staff’s personal working documents and e-mail traffic as a basis.

Target Group
These seminar-type sessions are aimed at all management and non management staff who write e-mails and/or fax messages in a foreign language on a regular basis. Individual or collective sessions. Maximum 8 participants per group.

Methodology
A thorough analysis of e-mails/fax messages with regard to form and content. The participants receive writing assignments related to their everyday work practice. E-mail follow-up during or after the training sessions can be organised on demand.

Didactic Material
The participants receive a handbook containing key terminology associated with e-mails and fax messages.
