Objectives
Standard expressions are supplied and studied during a few short sessions.

The following aspects are handled:

  • welcoming visitors
  • introducing oneself
  • introducing a colleague
  • referring someone to another department
  • asking for details about the nature of the visit
  • giving directions
  • developing relational skills
  • saying good-bye

The various skills are handled thematically during the sessions so that the lexicon is extensively introduced and rehearsed.

Target Group
This session targets reception desk staff. Maximum 8 participants per group.

Methodology
A wide variety including listening exercises and extension of vocabulary through interactive exercises. Subsequent rehearsing through simulation (real-life work situation) - specific tasks are assigned to all participants.

Didactic Material
The participants receive a handbook containing key terminology associated with the reception (desk) skills.
